Marmite is a savory spread that was invented in 1902 by a German scientist named Justus von Liebig. It’s made by concentrating the leftover yeast that’s used for making beer. Marmite’s main ingredients are salt, vegetable extract, spice extracts, acid-rich yeast extract, and celery extract.

10 years after being invented, it was proven that marmite is an excellent source of Vitamin B, and it was used by British soldiers during WWI to keep their health.

Marmite has divided British people into two; lovers and haters. Even the slogan of this product is “love it or hate it.” It has a very distinctive taste that either makes you fall for it or despise it for the rest of your life.
