Who’s Behind The VegHealth Institute?

Hello! Thanks for stopping by.

I am Anand Anma, Director of The VegHealth Institute and we have one mission:

To inspire and support people in eating an optimal plant-based diet.

Before the VegHealth Institute, I was a vegan and had been one nearly my whole life. I thought I was doing all the right things by eating clean, yet I had troubling health problems including hypothyroidism and infertility.

When my husband (Vj) and I came across The VegHealth Institute, we knew this was an answer to all of our searching. In fact, we were so impressed, we bought the company! Now we, too, are experiencing the best health of our life.

Maybe you’re curious about becoming a vegan or a vegetarian, but aren’t sure where to start. Or, maybe you’re already eating a plant-based diet, but don’t know if all your meals have the necessary vitamins and minerals to support your health.

Perhaps you’re well-informed and confident in what you eat, but would like a little support and guidance for optimal nutrition.

Our Team

Anand

Director

Anand blends her passion for health and vitality to support the team, our students, and our community. She has a long career as a coach and used her experience to create Vibrant Coach Business School for our members who wish to take their knowledge of healthy eating and share it with the world. Outside of VegHealth, she loves hiking in the great outdoors, preparing vegan meals, singing and traveling.

Vj

CEO

Vj oversees the VegHealth strategy so that we can impact as many peoples’ lives as possible. After moving to the US and gobbling up the Standard American Diet, Vj ballooned up to 220 pounds. He got a wake up call when his friend was diagnosed with a heart condition and his nephew asked him if he was pregnant. He switched to a living food plant based diet and dropped 70 pounds in 3 months. He has lived a plant-based lifestyle for the last 18 years. He is a certified yoga instructor, life-long meditator, and is passionate about healing the world. He also has a long history of creating tech start-ups. He lives in the Bay Area area with his wife, Anand Anma.

 

Erin

Business Manager

Erin leads our projects, staff, and day-to-day business operations. Erin has her Master’s of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering and has prior experience leading large scale programs around medical research and medical device design. Erin has recently dedicated her work (and life) towards educating people on the research behind lifestyle changes to fight and prevent disease. Outside of work, Erin will be deep in the mountains on a backpacking trip, in her kitchen making a new plant-based recipe, or on a flight to her next world adventure.

Sharon

Infusionsoft Queen

Sharon handles all the in’s and out’s of Infusionsoft, online marketing, automation and more! Sharon is an Infusionsoft Certified Partner and Certified Online Business Manager and has been a VA/OBM since 2002. She loves automating systems and processes and diving into complex marketing funnels. Outside of work, Sharon enjoys cooking, hiking and the outdoors in the beautiful state of Nevada.

Caileigh

Customer Support Angel

Caileigh is our point person for student questions and partnership support. Caileigh is a Raw Vegan Chef, Certified Detoxification Specialist, Mystical Yoga Instructor, Crystal Sound Healer & Breath-work teacher. She leads International Yoga, Sound Healing and Raw Food Detoxification Retreats to Perú, Costa Rica, Nicaragua & France. She loves being active and moving her body–through yoga, kickboxing, cycling, rock climbing, running and mountaineering–as a way to connect with nature and travel the world.

 

Vipool

Web Development Ninja

Vipool manages web development projects, making sure we give a top class, intuitive product to our users. Vipool is an ardent supporter of maintaining a work-life balance and believes that having good friends around and having good food is the secret to a long healthy and happy life.

 

Nitish

Web Systems Ninja

Nitish takes care of the backend development of our websites and system integrations. He works as a full stack developer with a keen interest and skill around debugging complex system challenges. Outside of work he love exploring different trails, goofing around with his dog and at the end of the day he loves cooking different vegetarian recipes.

We chose people who were experts about the lessons they wrote, even if they didn't agree with our other contributors on every point. For example, some of our contributors eat mostly raw foods while others eat mostly macrobiotic. Some shun oil while others stir fry their vegetables. As a result, none of our contributors has endorsed all of the lessons written by other experts.
